Who is
Juan Francisco Garza Elenes
?
Growing up in a Multicultural family in South Central Mexico. I was an outspoken and curious kid that could not stand still for a minute. At age 12 I discovered mountain biking and started racing cross country. Biking finally made me focus and gave me the voice I needed.
During my adolescence, I explored the different disciplines of mountain biking while traveling across Mexico to race and participate in different events. I also started developing taste for music, food, and coffee and an interest in traveling to ride and see the world. I eventually started working for the national enduro series.
After finishing High School, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the Bike Industry. In 2021 I moved to Whistler BC, Canada, followed by my lifelong friend Patricio Zorrilla. Living in the Mountain Bike Mecca has been my dream ever since I started mountain biking and it finally happened. I knew I had to stay in Canada and continue building my career and riding the trails I grew up watching on pinkbike.com
After graduating with a Media Marketing Diploma at Whistler Adventure School and Working at RideWrap as a Marketing intern. I settled in Victoria, Vancouver Island while working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Camosun College. With the year round capabilities of the region and huge cycling community, the goal has been to continue growing, learning, engaging, and telling inspiring stories that contribute to outdoor culture. With interest in copywriting, MTB travel/adventure, marketing strategy, social media management, magazine/editorial work, and Photography. I am always looking for new challenges and projects to work on.
